Our Story
When our founder's wife passed away, they found themselves sitting at the kitchen table surrounded by paperwork, with no idea where to begin. Solicitors quoted percentages of the estate value - it was confusing and couldn't say exactly what was included. It took 16 months, most of which was just waiting.
The frustrating truth was that most of the work was administrative - gathering documents, filling in forms, writing letters to banks. It didn't require a solicitor. It required a clear process, the right forms, and someone to explain what needed to happen next. That's what EstateCopilot is.

Who's Behind EstateCopilot
I built the tool I desperately needed when I was administering an estate, grieving and with no idea what to do next.
After losing my wife and spending months navigating estate administration, I realised the process wasn't fundamentally complicated. It was just poorly supported. Banks, DWP, and insurance companies required the same letter written six different ways. Forms asked for values that had to be calculated manually from other forms. Every step felt like a puzzle with pieces scattered across government websites.
EstateCopilot is the answer to that experience: a single, structured platform that knows which forms you need, fills in what it can automatically, and tells you clearly what comes next. It's built by someone who has been in your position, who has been through it — which means every feature exists because a real executor needed it.
I have over 20 years of experience in the software development industry, working across financial services, insurance, banking and more. I've use my own experiences with probate, and gathered input from others who have gone through the estate administration process too. EstateCopilot is a set of tools that anyone can use to make the probate process just a little bit easier. I know how hard this time can be.

EstateCopilot is a trading name of Mintly Ltd: a newer product built on the same engineering standards, drawing on the founder's 20+ years of experience building software for financial services, insurance and banking (see "Who's Behind EstateCopilot" above).
